Prepare and/or review the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements and other reports as filed with the SEC on forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K.Work closely with internal and external auditors to provide audit support and answer questions in a timely manner to facilitate completion of the audit.Prepare and/or review analysis and journal entries for complex and/or judgemental accounting areas, such as real estate transactions, insurance, real estate taxes, debt, equity, joint ventures, ground leases and impairment.Assist with preparation and review of annual budgets.Take a role in identifying opportunities and in testing and implementing solutions to continuously improve and streamline processes.Delegate, oversee and review the work of Staff Accountant(s), in addition to completing tasks on his/her own. Perform duties normally associated with a supervisory position such as training and running meetings. Work both independently and collaboratively in an efficient manner to meet required deadlines. Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times. Consistently maintain a professional courteous attitude when dealing with business partners, coworkers and the general public.Perform other duties as necessary.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years experience in financial reporting, including experience with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.Must possess professional verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to perform under pressure to achieve the timely filing of SEC reports.Must be able to organize, prioritize workload, work on numerous projects/tasks within a tight timeframe, and be conscientious of deadlines.Must have strong delegation skills and the capability to oversee the work of others and effectively motivate staff. Must have an innovative mindset, continuously striving for process improvement and automation. Some supervisory experience desired and public accounting experience preferred, but not required. Intermediate Excel skills required.Previous experience working with SQL, Google Apps, ERP systems and SEC filing applications strongly preferred.Licenses/Certification

CPA status or CPA exam candidacy is preferred.
