About the QA/Release Engineer positionWe are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer, preferably with release management experience, who will manage and build a library of manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. In addition, this role is responsible for releasing code to non-production environments, such as test and staging servers. You will plan, design, and implement tests, coordinate with software engineers, and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts).
This role requires a close attention to detail, strong technical background, and a desire to ensure our products provide an amazing user experience to our customers.
QA/Release Engineer responsibilities are:
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and repeatable test plans.
Execute both manual and automated test scripts.
Design, develop, and implement automation scripts.
Perform thorough regression testing.
Identify and document the defects thoroughly.
Track quality assurance metrics.
Actively participate within an Agile team of developers and product managers.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
QA/Release Engineer requirements are:
3+ Years of Experience in Quality / Test engineering.
Experience in writing concise and comprehensive test plans.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.
Preferred: Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub, Adaptable, Jenkins).
Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work across multiple, concurrent projects.
Strong experience in automation testing.
Significant experience of working in software development teams and using software QA methodologies and tools.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area.
