The

Enterprise Systems Engineer

is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of the program systems. The Engineer will oversee the program’s Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) full-time, at a client site. The Engineer will build scripts, provide expert technical assistance to team members, and build and patch servers (Linux and Windows). The Engineer should have excellent networking skills, including an understanding of IP Schema, scripting, hardware, and other aspects of building a network and maintaining systems.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy functional servers on Linux and Windows operating systemsMaintain system compliance with cyber security standards and practicesMonitor system performance and integrityAutomate tasks and monitor their effectivenessCreate, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)Communicate appropriately and professionally with users when neededMaintain complete technical documentationSuggest improvements to performance, capacity, and scalabilityDesired RequirementsAt least 5 years of direct industry-related experience as a Mid-Level to Senior Systems Engineer; or have knowledge comparable to a Senior Systems Engineer/Architect with 5 years of experience.Experience in maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards and frameworksProfessional certification(s) (e.g. - MCSE, CCNP, or CISSP)Solid background in systems engineering and maintenanceIn-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly ICMP, TCP/IP) and routing protocolsIn-depth understanding of deploying Elasticsearch on Linux in a clustered environmentFamiliarity with virtualization (ESXi, vCenter)Familiarity with access control models and network securitySolid understanding of server operating systems (Ubuntu 18.04, Windows)Knowledge in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field (or, at least 5 years of direct experience working as a network engineer)Understanding of basic Cisco switching functions (configuring access and trunk ports)Additional RequirementsMust have an active TS/SCI clearance with poly level of clearance and the ability to maintain clearanceThe ability to work proficiently with minimal oversightExcellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and carry at least 15lbs of equipment
