Apply today to our Director of Progressive Care and be a part of the innovation of ideas.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director is responsible for the care given to patients within the 3South Medical Unit; day-to-day departmental operations and productivity; future development and budgetary projections for the service line. The Director ensures 3South Medical Unit maintains the highest degree of efficiency and safety in providing quality care, including quality improvement, staff competency, inventory control, patient satisfaction, and physician satisfaction.You will develop and administer adult and geriatric patient care services as necessary to include emergency care.You will promote a multidisciplinary coordination of services, such as nursing, medical, respiratory care, laboratory, and pharmaceutical.You will develop, monitor, appraise, and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes within the 3 South Medical Unit.You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement within the services provided.You will control processes related to Human Resources; inclusive of hiring, evaluating, terminating, counseling, coaching, and development of staff.You will direct and approve the practice of professional nursing and support positions within the services provided to maintain quality patient care through the implementation and evaluation of clinical practice standards.You will develop, interpret, inspect, and review policies and procedures within the services provided.You will collaborate, develop, and participate in marketing of the PCU, including educational program development and external advertising.You will be responsible for twenty-four-hour coverage and problem resolution to the services provided.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support.Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state - Required.Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing - Required.Bachelor's in Nursing Science - Preferred.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time wisely without direct supervision - Required.Ability to work extended hours with frequent interruptions - Required.Ability to instill confidence in subordinates and effectively portray the mission of the organization - Required.Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patients, families, and internal and external customers - Required.Ability to coordinate several assignments at one time and meet deadlines - Required.Del Sol Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas.
