Job OverviewThe YouVersion Director of Community Care is primarily responsible for leading the vision and strategy for caring for YouVersion users and support volunteers. This includes ensuring the team offers world-class technical and spiritual support through support volunteers, which contribute directly to the success of YouVersion’s overall KPIs. The Director is responsible for collaborating with their leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

What You'll Do

Set, track, and manage overall KPIs for all users through quality surveys, first-time response, monthly active volunteers, etc.

Cast vision and create a strategy for offering world-class spiritual and technical support for the YouVersion community.

Collaborate with the YouVersion Marketing team on copy and messaging of end user and volunteer experiences.

Ensure the Community Care team offers a high-quality care experience for those who write in with questions, technical issues, prayer requests, or feedback.

Partner with Support Operations to offer a high-level overview of feedback from the YouVersion community.

Monitor key data metrics and/or analytics to ensure proper detection of community and support issues.

Expand into additional languages as the need for new language teams arises.

Oversee the Community Care Volunteer Leaders in providing ongoing care and support for our volunteer team.

Work with staff to determine the number of volunteers required to hit KPIs.

Plan and execute a strategy to recruit and onboard the proper number of volunteers.

Set key metrics for volunteers in recruitment, retention, and satisfaction.

Work with the Volunteer Operations Team to ensure best practices for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and span of care.

Participate and assign after-hours on-call rotation to monitor feedback and automated alerting systems to alert the appropriate teams and volunteers when urgent issues arise.

Conduct annual performance reviews.

Oversee contractor work and contracts and ensure we are stewarding budget resources.

Ensure KPIs are aligned with the mission and main KPIs of the organization.

Lead and develop staff members to execute operation objectives.

Skills Needed to Succeed

Demonstrate passion and experience for spiritual leadership through online/digital platforms and excitement about overseeing thousands of volunteers ministering in this way.

Self-motivated, able to make independent decisions and solve problems.

Maintain flexibility and initiate the creation of new processes and project strategies.

Manage conflict and differing opinions while maintaining composure.

Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.

Ability to take a great vision and turn it into reality through strategic execution.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster cross-team collaboration.

High School Diploma or GED.

5+ years of pastoral leadership experience.
