Role Overview: Cultivation Technician

As a Cultivation Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the health and vitality of our plants, following precise protocols to maintain optimal growing conditions and uphold industry-leading standards.

Pay:

$19.50 an hour

Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday; 7:30 am-4 pm OR Tuesday-Saturday; 7:30 am-4 pm

Primary ResponsibilitiesAdminister irrigation and nutrients following company guidelines and scheduling protocols.Conduct regular inspections of cultivation zones to identify potential disease or pest issues, ensuring all findings are logged in the master record.Execute tasks efficiently, adhering to a detailed schedule to ensure timely and accurate completion of activities.Label and track all plant inventory, ensuring data accuracy at all times.Maintain comprehensive records of all activities in compliance with state-mandated tracking systems.Assist in plant harvesting operations, including drying and de-stemming processes.Conduct stripping and grinding of cannabis material as required.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.Report any issues or anomalies that could impact plant growth to the Cultivation Director promptly.Perform basic maintenance on cultivation systems including pipes, pumps, lighting, and HVAC units.Apply nutrients based on guidelines from the Cultivation Manager, ensuring precise documentation of each application.Work independently as well as collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth facility operations.Uphold strict sanitation protocols throughout the facility.Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the Cultivation Manager to facilitate optimal cultivation outcomes.

Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED required.Minimum 1 year of horticultural experience or related field required.At least 2 years of experience in order entry, picking, labeling, packaging or customer service is preferred.Proficient in computer systems with strong mathematical, language, and reasoning skills.

Physical RequirementsFrequently engage in desk-based computer tasks.Able to sit for extended periods.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.Capable of twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and crawling as needed.Clear communication skills are essential, with regular use of phone and email required for collaboration.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.Good manual dexterity for handling office and cultivation equipment.Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting label printing devices.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves both indoor and outdoor work environments.Must be able to tolerate hot, humid conditions for extended periods, with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.Tasks may include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting in confined spaces.
