Role Purpose:The Senior Solutions Designer is a high-visibility, high-impact, customer facing role, responsible for developing and executing technical solutions design efforts within the Logistic Systems Division for the BEUMER Group organization in North America. The Senior Solutions Designer plays a critical role, in direct collaboration with Solutions Architects, in designing and optimizing logistics systems solutions to enhance the efficiency, visibility, and scalability. Further, this position involves collaborating with external stakeholders and global teams to understand business requirements, analyzing existing processes and systems, and designing innovative solutions that streamline logistics operations and drive business growth.Key Responsibilities:Design end-to-end logistics solutions, including conveyor systems, sortation systems, goods to person solutions and warehouse control systems (WCS/WES).Develop material and process flows for optimal system capability in line with customer requirements and specs.Evaluate a multitude of technologies, software and hardware solutions to identify the most suitable options based on functional requirements, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Design solutions after thoroughly analyzing data, customer requirements, objectives of solutions and available technology options in portfolio as well as from partners/suppliers.Analyze logistics workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, proposing optimizations and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.Calculate throughput, performance, functionalities etc. of the proposed solutions and compare them against customer goals/objectives.Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solution and recommend mitigation strategies.Develop comprehensive documentation, user manuals, and training materials for logistics systems, providing training and support to stakeholders as needed.Support engineering through functional design and descriptions.Generate cost calculations based on the technical design of subsystems, as well as overall integrated systems within sales projects together with the Sales Manager.Liaise with LS Sales Managers and Marketing in promoting our solutions to clients (calls, visits and marketing material).Participate in the hand-over process from sales to operations with focus on securing the correct design parameters for the proposed solution.Coordinate the integration and overall design between BEUMER and external sub-suppliers, as well as design & estimation activities with other BEUMER companies.Draft documentation and presentations for customer RFPs that clearly and simply demonstrate the benefit of the proposed BEUMER solution, as well as develop white papers on solutions.Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Robotics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum 5 years' experience from a similar position/role.Proven experience as a Principal Solutions Designer or similar role, with a focus on designing logistics systems and supply chain solutions.In-depth knowledge of logistics technologies and systems, including WCS, TMS, RFID, barcode scanning, EDI, and IoT devices.Proficiency in system design and data analysis.Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management principles, and industry best practices.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Project management experience, with the ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion.Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or similar are preferred.Proficiency with MS Office tool set: PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.Knowledge/Exposure to simulation tools; ability to develop simulation functionality specs based on customer requirements.Basic familiarity with CAD & Visio.Commitment Required:
