We are seeking a
Senior .NET Software Developer/Engineer
with strong development skills in C#, VB.NET, .NET Core and Web development using Angular technologies. The individual will serve in a key role for modernization, maintenance and operations projects for major business systems. This often requires that the Software Architect ensures compatibility between equipment and software, analyzes operational/systems requirements, supports design reviews, and presents technical briefings. Evaluates, assesses, documents, and tests data security and continuity of operations for systems and programs. Serves as solutions provider to senior management and professional staff concerning areas of technological development and advancement. Formulates recommendations on hardware/software interfacing, large-scale systems, expert systems, and technical problems. Performs business and system object modeling simulation and analysis. Advises and recommends system characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and I/O requirements. Coordinates activities of developers and engineers. Provides enterprise systems architecture expertise in developing systems supporting common purposes, processes, architectures, and standards. Develops strategy for enterprise-wide methodology or tool implementation, or planning and implementing enterprise technology changes such as database technology (e.g., from Sybase to Oracle).Great benefits and tremendous opportunities for growth!
Qualifications
Minimum Technical Qualifications:At least 9 years' experienceDesigning and developing applicationsData modeling, data warehousing, distributed processing, utilization of tools for data modeling and logical and physical database design, software integration, and/or security issues and techniques, as requiredBusiness and system object modelingDeveloping software architecture documentsServing as technical or team leadAt least 7 years' experienceCoding experience with Dot.NET and VB.NETSQL or database stored proceduresInternet/Intranet protocols and web server technologies, where requiredAt least 6 years' experienceBuilding Service Oriented Architecture using web service standards (i.e., SOAP, RPC, or REST)At least 5 years' experienceCurrent network, development and database architectures and technologiesDeveloping systems architectureDeveloping enterprise projects utilizing iterative system development methodologiesAt least 3 years' experienceServing as a technical leader of software engineering or computer professionalsAt least 2 years' experienceWith XML or JSONDesirable Qualifications ( but not required ):Proficient in Web development using .NET Framework, .NET Core and Angular technologies.The use of version control software or software migration routinesProject experience with the Agile framework, DevOps or other iterative development methodologiesExperience in multiple test and production environmentsExperience with the BLS standard IT development products and environmentsKnowledge of BLS surveys and systemsSpecific experience developing statistical systemsContract Requirements:If a foreign national, Visa must be up-to-date and demonstrated work experience here in the US for three (3) or more yearsMust be eligible to obtain Special Sworn Status - Title 13 & 26 clearance through US Census Bureau (if required to support development)
