Description1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Solution Architect to join the Enterprise Systems Business Line within the Technology Consulting Practice of 1898 & Co. We seek a qualified Maximo practitioner to provide application/technology architecture solutions and services to our clients. The selected candidate will join the Global Enterprise Systems Business Line, which focuses on providing our clients with various consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies to deliver high value to our clients through various leading technologies and practice disciplines.The Maximo Compatible Unit solution architect shall possess strong functional and technical knowledge of the IBM Maximo EAM or APM solution specializing in the compatible unit concepts. The candidate must have strong project execution capabilities, strong leadership and collaboration capabilities, excellent communication skills, a focus on continuous improvement and enterprise innovation, and strong attention to detail while delivering high-quality work to our clients. The Maximo Compatible Unit Solution Architect is responsible for providing strategic guidance, road mapping, research, planning, and leading practices to our client’s executive leaders to make investment decisions aligned with the organization’s long-term vision.This position will participate in and lead various enterprise transformation programs focused on Maximo solutions through all delivery lifecycle stages of a typical software implementation or upgrade. The role will lead efforts to identify and deliver Maximo EAM or APM solutions to our clients, emphasizing teamwork, customer commitment, industry best practices, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Design new and review existing Compatible Units (CU) library setup, and organization settings in Maximo against the design standards, FERC accounting, and asset creation and cost requirements.Conduct workshops with the customers, identify issues with the current CU setup, the use of Compatible Unit Estimation (CUE) in Maximo, and recommend changes to leverage the functionality in Maximo.Implement recommended changes in Maximo and assist in verifying the changes meet the requirements and address the pain points.Assist customers in deploying the changes in Maximo.Assist in training designers to utilize the delivered CU and CUE functionality in Maximo.Assist in training Maximo Business System Administrators in understanding the CU settings in Maximo and the impact of the Maximo settings on the functionality of the CU library, CUE, asset creation, and FERC accounting.Assist in documenting the current and future states of CU libraries in Maximo. Review training and testing documents related to CU functionality.Assist with integration issues between customers’ engineering design software with Maximo.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Minimum 8 years of experience providing enterprise or operations architecture strategies, enterprise or operations integration solutions, and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.5 years of providing CU Solution Architecture services for medium to large IT / OT-related transformations utilizing IBM’s Maximo solution (or equivalent software) is preferred.5 years working in the Electric Utility Industry or equivalent is preferred.Excellent enterprise architecture and integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, communications, and other architectural methods and practices (CU solution architecture experience is preferred).Preference towards understanding the EAM or APM business process and current and emerging associated technologies to manage and deliver quality enterprise solutions in both Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) domains to meet client objectives.Strong ability to influence or lead project execution.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with leading-edge application(s), operations technology, and solutions utilizing various industry standard tools.Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies including but not limited to Waterfall and Agile.Experience developing executive-level technology assessments, roadmap strategies focusing on enterprise, operation technologies for clients in the utilities industry.Job Hire Type:
