Our clients include the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and others. The geographic location for the position is flexible, but Metro Boston or Vermont are preferable.Job Description:
Serving as a technical analyst for domestic U.S. projects related to policies and regulations affecting public health, worker safety and health, and the environmentWorking with large data sets (e.g., performing data cleaning, merging, matching, visualization, etc.) using R, Python, SAS, or other statistical analysis toolsConducting technical literature reviewsSupporting mid- and senior-level staff in analyzing benefits, costs, and impacts of regulations, policies, and programsSupporting mid- and senior-level staff in conducting evaluations of public health and environmental programs using standard and innovative quantitative and/or qualitative methods and techniquesSupporting primary data collection efforts, which include field and web surveys, interviews, and focus groupsPreparing sections of project reports, memoranda, quantitative models, and presentationsQualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematical Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related degreeGood proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or STATA for data analysis and predictive analyticsAbility to conduct technical analyses, both quantitative and qualitative in natureAbility to manage deadlines effectively across multiple projectsExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to various stakeholders in non-technical languageExcellent time management and organizational skillsProficiency in MS Office Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and TeamsSalary: $55,000 - $65,000 a yearERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
