This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Oracle data management systems and databases to meet current and future requirements of the software and applications of the organization.Develop physical data models that describe the structure for data storage, data indexing, data manipulation, and data retrieval applications.Manage, implement, and maintain multi-user databases for software; ensure that databases meet the business requirements of the organization, are accessible to authorized customers, and are kept up-to-date.Monitor and optimize database performance and tune database operations.Generate complex queries and reports.Participate in the design of data management systems.Develop data dictionaries, data models, and other data management tools.Monitor and coordinate local installation and configuration of databases.Troubleshoot interface problems between information systems within and outside of the department.Monitor and maintain local program changes to enhance information systems operations.Serve on project teams responsible for system implementation and upgrades; determine project scope and additional staff resources required to complete projects; prepare project specific work plans and timelines.Monitor project milestones and report project progress to government management.Requirements:Conditions of Employment:GS-12 Grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: engaging in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.7 years of Oracle Database administration experience, Oracle Certified Associate/Professional (OCA/OCP) certifications taken into consideration.GS-11 Grade level:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with the planning, development, implementation, and/or administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and/or retrieval of data.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.5 years of Oracle Database administration experience, Oracle Certified Associate/Professional (OCA/OCP) certifications taken into consideration.Education:In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify for the GS-11 Grade Level with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.Additional Information:
