As Staff Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager. Your main functions will include contract administration, project planning and scheduling, and project reporting, and you will play an advisory role to Project Management for project issues.District Overview

This location will be based in Cranford, New Jersey.Responsibilities

Assist in building/maintaining schedule documents (P6, MS Project, Excel)Drafting of subcontractsTracking daily cost and creating trend chartsCoordination & development of temporary structure designsAssist in understanding of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervisionPerform quantity calculationsAssist in the preparation of work plansAssist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheetsAssist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety trainingOrder and schedule material deliveriesSupervise field operationsDevelop leadership and management skillsQualifications

3+ years of experience with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Coastal EngineeringAbility to work with minimal supervisionProficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Primavera and HCSS Heavy Bid preferredProficient skills in standard computer software packagesAbility to work a 40-hour work week with additional hours as required by projectThis position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English languageOther Requirements:
