They will provide value-added financial planning, forecasting, reporting, operational and margin analysis and other strategic ad-hoc analysis of a complex nature to enhance company and business unit decision-making. Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills as well as experience in a fast-paced engineering and light manufacturing environment are keys to success in this position.The SFA will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. They will have a nose for continuous improvement, capable of driving results and enhancing processes and visibility into the business. The SFA must be a self-starter and able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop, report and present accurate, timely and actionable financial and business metrics for monthly, quarterly and annual reviews.Construct P&L variance analyses of actuals vs. budget/forecast vs. prior year with an in-depth understanding of drivers.Establish recurring trending revenue, cost, and margin analytics over various time periods.Provide complex analysis in support of diverse corporate objectives that incorporates all aspects of the business, helping establish and maintain KPIs with business partners.Communicate insights that translate into initiatives to drive growth and improved business performance.Manage the financial planning/budgeting process for assigned segments, with an acute comprehension around the qualitative narrative that drives the numbers.Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to department and business unit leaders.Own and facilitate cross-functional business models in support of new product development.Regularly work on multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business required. MBA preferred.5-7 years of experience as a financial analyst or a similar role.Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.ERP/CPM/Visualization Tool experience required: SAP, Planful and PowerBI experience preferred.Demonstrated ability as a systems thinker, partnering with IT to promote efficient and scalable tools and process analysis in support of corporate goals.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, generate alternatives and clearly communicate salient findings to diverse audiences to drive positive change.Ability to challenge current strategies or objectives and propose alternative recommendations, as necessary, based on in-depth knowledge of analytical methods and approaches.Functional understanding of US GAAP and how it applies to financial planning and analysis.Ability to quickly distill complex findings and concepts into key data points and visualizations.Team player with strong interpersonal skills.Proven record of strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments and work effectively under time constraints.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
