Tax Supervisor - Private Client Services (PCS)

for our Melville, NY office. The Private Client Services (PCS) Tax Practice focuses on tax business planning, advisory & compliance services for ultra-wealthy families as well as multi-general wealth planning. The group specializes in the taxation of gifts, trusts, estates, foundations, closely held entities, and individual returns.Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:Review individuals, trusts, gift taxes, and flow through entities.Supervise and develop associates.Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.Prepare budgets and schedule engagements accordingly.Train and mentor lighter level associates.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a preferred field in Accounting.5+ years solid tax experience with high net-worth individuals.Superb communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.Strong tax research skill.Preferred Qualifications:CPA License or on track to obtain.Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365.Experience with Axcess Tax a plus.Experience with BNA a plus.Marcum LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, national origin, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under the law.Compensation Range:
