Join us, and discover why we are #1 in California and nine years in a row on the 'Best Hospitals' Honor Roll.Training for this role could be approximately 4 - 8 weeks FULL TIME Monday - Friday (onsite and hybrid).After training is completed, hours would vary as a per diem employee (Monday - Friday, days).Refill Center is open Monday - Friday, 8 hr days.As a per diem hybrid Pharmacist in our Refill Center at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network in Los Angeles, you will be providing clinical pharmacy services in all pharmacist-managed programs at Cedars-Sinai Medical Network and ensuring patient safety and the highest quality of care is delivered.Approve protocol medication refill requests under physician signed protocols on behalf of Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation physicians.Identify patients for Drug Therapy Management Programs.Promote cost-effective drug therapy by converting brand to generic medications when appropriate, per physician signed protocol.Track interventions to show the value of the Refill Center.Ensure medication refills are completed in a timely manner.

Educational Requirements:

Doctor of pharmacy (Pharm. D.) requiredLicenses:

Current California Pharmacist license required, National Provider Identifier (NPI) preferredWhat else are we looking for?

Must have retail experience of 1 year.Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology as related to drug usage.Current eligibility to obtain an NPI.Ability to comprehend patient medical management plans.Comprehensive knowledge of common disease states, pathologies, and ability to apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles.Physical Demands:

Occasionally: Stand dynamically to perform a function and move to perform another.Stand statically in one place to perform a function without changing location.Frequently: Sit at a desk or table with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects.Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.Use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects and/or operate equipment.Rarely: Climb stairs and/or ladders. Bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, or crawl. Bend upper torso and reach up and out with hands and arms. Perform unaided lifting of objects, please list the amount of weight that would be lifted, along with the frequency required. (Up to 25 lbs.)
