Our 570+ alumni have a six-year college graduation rate of 70% - double the national average of their demographic peers.About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapist to provide one-on-one support to middle school students within a school setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement behavior intervention plans that promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the educational experience of each student.Primary ResponsibilitiesImplement individualized ABA therapy programs for students based on the goals set forth in their IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).Collect and analyze data on student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies across environments.Provide direct behavioral interventions in both classroom and one-on-one settings.Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress, and any incidents.Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and school policies.Living our ValuesEmbodying our belief that all students can achieveActive, regular collaboration and communication with the team to advance APR’s missionCommitting to continual personal and organizational growthTenaciously fostering the learning of every studentEmbracing diversity and the goals of equity and inclusionThe ideal candidate has:Demonstrated belief that all children can achieve their full intellectual and social potentialEpitomizes APR’s values in all interactions Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).RBT Certification is required.Minimum of 2 years experience working with children with ASD or related developmental disabilities.Strong knowledge of ABA techniques and strategies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience in a school setting is preferred.The Academy of the Pacific Rim prohibits sex discrimination in any education program oractivity that it operates.
