Responsibilities:Build and optimize data pipelines from the ground up, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high-performance processing.Perform data cleansing, integration, and quality assurance to maintain the accuracy and integrity of large datasets.Utilize big data technologies to efficiently process and analyze extensive datasets, particularly in a federal agency context.Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide innovative solutions to complex data challenges.Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design optimal data models and architectures.Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate data insights that support decision-making.Maintain detailed documentation for software applications, workflows, and processes.Stay updated on emerging trends in data engineering and recommend tools and technologies for continuous improvement.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with proven experience in creating data pipelines from scratch.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex data-related issues.Experience with large datasets and the use of big data technologies for efficient data processing and analysis.Understanding of data modeling/visualization, database design principles, and data governance.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Nice to Have:Knowledge of Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS).Recent DoD or IC-related experience.Clearance:Candidates must currently possess an active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
