Seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer, focusing on gas engine control systems for power generation. This role is critical for our projects involving the retrofit and conversion of control systems to a wide range of programmable controls. You will be at the forefront of designing, testing, and commissioning advanced control systems, including multipoint injection controls and associated gas valve equipment, as well as various auxiliary control systems like PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, AVRs, and protective relays.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complex site applications from conception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and field service engineers, particularly in gas engine control system applications.

Act as a subject matter expert, providing consultancy and specialist engineering insights.

Develop new and unique applications, contributing to the advancement of engineering standards and processes.

Champion multiple products and applications within the company, driving innovation and quality.

Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Design, test, and maintain integrated systems for engine safety controls in both marine and land-based applications.

Document all activities, findings, and conditions in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience in automation control systems, instrumentation, and gas engine control applications.

Strong PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming skills.

A self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (English required; Spanish is a plus).

Willingness to travel (up to 25%), including international travel.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in power generation, industrial automation, or a related industry; or 12 years of relevant work experience.

Valid driver’s license and passport.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.
