The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. This role is for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator and Engineer within the Information Systems department. Job duties include SQL Server DB environment (on-prem and in-cloud) maintenance, monitoring, DB installation, backup and restore, database replication, database development and tuning, user supports, security hardening such as CIS deployment and maintenance. The candidate will work within the DBA team and will interact with members of the infrastructure teams, front office developers, project managers, and business users.Role Objectives

Support SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 platformsSupport and usage of SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS technologiesSupport of SQL Server Always-OnProvide system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, DB installation, DB backup and restore, database replication setup and maintenance, database development and tuning, user supports, security hardening such as CIS deployment and maintenanceResearch and recommend innovative solutions and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasksImplement monitoring tools and proactively implement improvement steps to prevent potential issues. Troubleshoot and solve incidents quickly to maintain the high availability environmentCarry out periodic Technology Recovery tests and On-Call Support rotation responsibilitiesWork with Cybersecurity and audit teams to satisfy security requirementsLate night and weekend work may be necessary at times for installations, patching, upgrades, and maintenanceFollow the change control processes and proceduresThe candidate is required to update/maintain all documentation and will be tasked with improving such documentation as requiredMaintain effective communication with all Infrastructure and Application teams and managementQualifications and Skills

We are looking for a SQL Server DBA Engineer with 10+ years of experience.Experience with SQL Server 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Servers on Windows VMsExperience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Always-On, SSRS, SSIS, SSASExperience with WindowsExperience with high availability and disaster recovery, backups/restoresUnderstanding on change control, upgrade, and release deployment activitiesKnowledge of database security, access control, monitoring, and auditingExperience with DB authentication via AD or Azure ADExperience with monitoring, tuning, and analyzing database performanceExperience that is a major plus:Experience with Azure SQL DB's and SQL VM's, Always-On Availability GroupsWorking experience in a financial environmentRequired Skills / Abilities:
