The Lee Global Female Associate Merchant will help to support creating, developing, and managing a consumer and market focused global product offer in line with the overall brand strategy which is outlined within the Regional briefs to meet or exceed overall corporate financial requirements for our better level assortment, owning a subset of this collection. They will also be responsible to help generate and utilize tools that support our briefing, assorting, and sample ordering processes.Responsibilities:Strategy:Build global category strategy based on inputs from Regional briefs/needs.Pro-actively communicate to key global product creation stakeholders on future strategies and marketplace changes based on Regional inputs.Support GTM calendar at each milestone meeting in close partnership with PD, Design, & Regional Merchant teams.Support evaluating processes related, but not limited to costing, new category growth opportunities, etc. to help drive further growth and profitability and productivity for owned categories.Product Direction:Support mapping out process in partnership with Regional Merchandising teams to analyse product performance to evaluate strengths and weaknesses to aid future line development and utilize past season sales, product performance data, current marketplace information and trends to define global product strategies.Own subset of global better level assortment at category level throughout total development cycle each season.Identify carry-overs together with Regional Merch teams and lifecycle management for both fit and SKU.Build strong cross functional relationships with Regional Merchandising teams in order to create more awareness of specific Regional nuances with regards to line architecture, product needs, and pricing structures.Support driving merchandising synergies between regions through improving global adoption season to season.Product Creation:Support the product creation process for the respective product segment towards brief and goals, including innovation and product differentiation.Assist building out processes to consolidate the global category assortment needs, own line editing and inform Regional Merchants, Design, and PD at each step of GTM.Manage global salesman sample ordering process and identify any cost savings related to sample budgeting.Own the chase process in close collaboration with the Regional teams – strategic response to incremental product and business opportunities, assess and respond to product specific regional requests where appropriate.Requirements:Ability to collaborate with others and can navigate complex multi-functional operational and commercial issues and negotiate to successful resolution.Self-starter with ability to prioritize, shows initiative and can work independently if needed.Business acumen and has ability to problem solve and present solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and strong organizational skills.Ability to navigate data systems such as Microsoft Suite & SmartSheet.Experience/Education:Minimum 1-4 years of professional experience in apparel.4 year degree in Business Management, Consumer Apparel/Retail Studies, or product/design/merchandising studies; or equivalent business experience.Why Kontoor Brands?At Kontoor, we offer a comprehensive benefit package to fit your lifestyle and our benefits are crafted with the same care as our products.When our employees are healthy, secure and well, they bring their best selves to work.
