Ground Processing Developer/Analyst

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Developer/Analyst to support programs focusing on development and integration of satellite ground processing applications at our El Segundo, CA location. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business that provides core capabilities for National Security and Defense. Our teams focus on low-latency data processing, detection, and tracking algorithms for exploitation of remote sensing systems. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, analytically minded C++ developer, work well as a part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment, and be able to prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software solutions into Government frameworks.ResponsibilitiesTailor and adapt existing C++ data processing code for mission specific applications.Develop new software for complex processing algorithms using both open source and internally developed libraries and APIs.Support development and analysis of new processing algorithms and methodologies.Build and deploy new tools for testing, debugging, and benchmarking.Compile, analyze, and report application performance metrics.Work as part of an Agile team and contribute to shared tools.Work with Industry and Government partners to develop, document, and support integration and testing.Document requirements, designs, and performance metrics for presentation and reporting to industry partners and government customers.Other duties as assigned.A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or related field.Demonstrated proficiency and fluency with C++ and python.Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS or Azure.3-5 years professional experience in scientific data analysisDemonstrated ability to perform independent analysis on complex software systems.Good communication skills and experience presenting data to customers and other stakeholders.Ability to work on-site at our El Segundo, CA office location andA current active Department of Defense Secret clearanceDemonstrated attention to detailGood verbal and written communication skillsCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferredOptimization skills for high data throughput processingExperience with the exploitation of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed dataStrong understanding and experience with modern object-oriented design, inheritance patters, and SOLID principles.An advanced degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.Experience implementing features of C++ 14, 17, and 20 standardsFluency in MATLAB and/or RustA current active DoD Top Secret clearance*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employmentSciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)3% Fully Vested Company 401K Contribution (no employee contribution required)100% company paid HSA Medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up options80% company paid Dental insurance100% company paid Vision insurance100% company paid Life insurance100% company paid Long-term Disability insuranceShort-term Disability insuranceAnnual Profit-Sharing PlanDiscretionary Performance BonusPaid Parental LeaveGenerous Paid Time Off, including Holiday, Vacation, and Sick PayFlexible Work HoursThe pay range for this position is $103,000 - $149,000 / year.
