SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the EHS Manager is to ensure that the company complies with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.

This includes developing and managing company policies and procedures for the facility, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement. This job description pertains to duties associated and included with this particular position but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for compliance with all State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations, including occupational safety policies and standards.

Serve as the primary contact with all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, and reporting.

Chair the Company’s Safety Committee, ensuring cross functional participation, safety audits, documentation and follow-up.

Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization as well as identification, analysis and control of occupational hazards.

Responsible for hands-on management of Health and Safety Training programs for all employees and efforts to improve safety performance (compliance and injury reduction).

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.

Ensure corrective actions to address deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

Assure that outside services are properly supervised and completed in accordance with contracts/work orders.

Comply with AS9100, OSHA and all applicable state and federal regulations.

SKILLS:

Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Proven history with the technical fundamentals of safety management, risk assessment and reduction, including machinery safety, ergonomics, and occupational health.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with strong project management and communication skills.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Occupational Safety degree or related technical discipline.

Minimum of five years of experience in the field required (manufacturing environment)

OSHA 30-Hour preferred (CFR 1910).

Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA/DOT) preferred.

Prior experience with regulatory agencies.
