The Real Estate Loan Services/RE Loan Processor assists mortgage lenders in preparing, processing, booking and any follow-up on residential and consumer real estate loans, both in-house and those sold on the secondary market. Specifically, the Loan Services/RE Loan Processor is responsible for:

Input/Output:New real estate, and consumer notes.Note file maintenance.Address changes.FNMA Servicing: this position will have a full understanding of servicing FannieMae loans – remitting funds, understanding maintaining loans on the system, processing adjustments, keeping the program current regarding any changes and new servicing requirements from FannieMae etc.Fannie MaeSupport servicing, processing, origination.Work on foreclosures, modifications, etc.Balance reports pertaining to FNMA.Reconcile accounts pertaining to FNMA/RE loans.Monitoring balance in FNMA GL accountsTransferring funds daily from FNMA GL accounts to FNMA P&I and T&I custodial DDA accounts (as needed).Daily remitting/transmitting of FNMA funds -Monthly reporting.Processing delinquencies and modifications per FannieMae’s requirementsReal estate loan servicing:Escrow-process and update insurance and ticklers and premium information and property tax information.File loan origination & servicing documents into document retention software.Review and pay real estate related invoices.Process paid real estate loan files. This requires providing a Satisfaction of Mortgage (if not already done), sending original documents to borrower, making a copy set for our file and then purging documents not required for retention and scanning paid note information.Real Estate Loan Processing – inhouse and secondary marketOrder documents/reports (appraisal, title, flood certificate, verifications, etc..) requested by the loan originator.Process secondary market loan purchases (TMS entries, Quicken, update Encompass with required dates)Process loan file from origination through tracking of final documents.

Consumer Loan ProcessingLoan booking/proof work/TMS.Process the paid/rewritten consumer notes:Creating & Maintaining mainframe tickler addendaFile loan origination & servicing documents into document retention software.Working with Lenders and Banking Assistants to eliminate and correct technical exceptions.Tracking for filed/recorded documents – UCC’s, Title CardsAssisting customers by phone/in person, as promptly and courteously as the situation permits:General informationPayoff calcsAssist with daily filing of documentation that flows into loan services department as necessary:Miscellaneous typing and copying:Check file maintenance (output):Loan non-posts.Credit references:Complete reference after ensuring that we have proper customer authorization, as directed by lender.Complete special projects and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Loan Services Manager:

You will be expected to have a good knowledge of bank procedures & regulations, with special emphasis on BSA/AML regulations.

Requirements:

Education: Minimum 2-year accounting or 4-year business (or related) education. Previous banking (in the loan or operations area) or accounting experience could compensate for education requirements).Ability to research and comprehend laws and regulations.Must be comfortable giving presentations and facilitating discussion groups.Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and ExcelKnowledge of banking and the various elements of bank operations and servicesKnowledge of basic accounting principlesTime management ability and ability to exercise good judgment and common sense.Organizational skills and good communication skills, including written and verbal; ability to communicate and work well with bank employees and customers.Ability and willingness to research and resolve questions by employees and customers.Should have access to tools, materials, and training necessary to fulfill the job requirements on an on-going basis.Willingness to pursue on-going education and training to enhance the Real Estate Loan department.Must be able to travel between branches.Physical presence at the bankLake Region Bank is a great place to work.
