ALBANY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ONELaramie, WyomingJOB DESCRIPTION: Personalized Learning Services ParaprofessionalReports Principal/Assistant Principal Full Time: YesSalary: $17.82-23.99 per hour DOE Location: See PostingStart Date: August/September 2024 Certification: N/APOSITION SUMMARY:- The Personalized Learning Services Paraprofessional is responsible for providing support to theinstructional program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision and instructionof students with significant disabilities; observing and documenting student progress;implementing plans for instruction; and assisting students by providing for special health careneeds and monitoring student behavior.CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Personalized Learning Services Paraprofessional:1. Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health careprofessional for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs and developing children'sdaily living activities and behavioral skills. *2. Assists medically fragile or physically disabled students getting on and off the school bus forthe purpose of maintaining students' personal safety. *3. Attends meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveyinginformation relative to job functions. *4. Communicates with supervising instructional staff and professional support personnel for thepurpose of assisting in evaluating progress and implementing IEP objectives. *5. Maintains a variety of materials (e.g. instructional materials, files, records, charts, etc.) for thepurpose of ensuring availability of items, providing written reference, and meeting mandatedrequirements. *6. Manages a variety of assigned activities for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learningenvironment. *7. Monitors students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments for the purposeof maintaining a safe and positive school environment. *8. Participates in the implementation of IEP goals for the purpose of meeting IEP goals and districtbenchmarks. *9. Provides instruction to students in a variety of individual and group activities (e.g. academicsubjects, social skills, daily living skills, etc.) for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives;implementing IEP plans, and ensuring students success in school all under the supervision of assignedteacher. *10. Provides adapted classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of thesupervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives. *11. Provides feedback of observations for the purpose of informing teachers and administrators ofstudent progress. *12. Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of solving problems, providinginformation, and directing to other sources. *13. Tutors students on assigned class work for the purpose of providing ongoing support in thecompletion of work assignments. *14. Follows the policies and procedures of the school and the District. *15. Demonstrates a sense of professional responsibility, such as demonstrating ethical behavior;providing accurate data and reports when needed; meeting deadlines; maintainingconfidentiality; caring for the equipment and materials; and dressing appropriately andpresenting a good role model. *16.
