Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 3M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class engineers to help maximize Starlink’s utility for communities and businesses around the globe.RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across SpaceX production and engineeringCreate new applications that improve how SpaceX production operatesOwn all aspects of software engineering development to support a production environmentDeep dive into users’ problems to find and create efficient solutionsIntegrate electronics design software to manufacturing equipmentDisplay ownership throughout and following the release process for applicationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline;1+ years of experience in full stack development disciplinePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Programming experience in object-oriented languageExperience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery conceptsExpertise in designing software systemsDeep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment & monitoringExpertise in profiling and improving application performanceExperience with build systems (Make, Bazel) and package management tools (pip, npm)Experience with UNIX-like operating systemsExperience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologiesExperience with Docker and KubernetesFront-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworkDatabase experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologiesExperience with enterprise grade ERP systemsExperience integrating third-party industrial equipment (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fuji, Nordson, etc.)Experience integrating third-party CAD Software (NX, Altium, Xpedition, etc.)Solid Data Science/Analytics backgroundADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as neededCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range:    Software Engineer/Level I: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year    Software Engineer/Level II: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
