The Sr. Systems Engineer position is responsible for answering phone calls from clients and assisting with tickets using our ticketing system. This role will have KPIs and success metrics like other positions within Meriplex, however, the successful candidate will want to not only achieve those but exceed the deliverable.Maintain accurate history and status of issues in ConnectWise ticketing system. Manage tickets and perform follow up with internal/external organizations regarding client related issues. Set your team up for success. Nobody likes to be left in the dark. If you receive all four elements of this recognition you could receive $10,000!Successfully provide various levels of support for customer systems and networks across multiple technologies and vendors including but not limited to: Microsoft, Apple, VMware ESX/ESXi 6.x, Datto, Dell, Fortinet, Network Infrastructure Services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Let’s work together to succeed together! A minimum of 3 years of experience with the following technical applications is a good start:Working knowledge of Kaseya and ConnectWise Automate are highly preferred.Service Desk is a plus but not requiredExperience with ITGLUEExperience with backup products such as Veeam and Datto productsA proven generalist that can troubleshoot other areas to rule out Server and Networking issues.Being able to work with a team professionally and having the knowledge to explain in detail.About 3 years of experience in the following areas will set you up to speed through your interview process in this role:Managed Service Provider ExperienceStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to manage infrastructure, keeping all focused on departmental goals and objectivesAbility to lead and influence others through collaborative effortsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsExcellent organizational skills including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environmentUnderstand departmental budgetsDesired SkillsExpert Knowledge of TCP/IP/DHCP and DNSExpert Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Architecture, Active Directory, and GPOsExpert Knowledge of Kaseya and other RMM platforms.Desired Qualifications:Proven work experience as a lead systems engineer with a managed service provider backgroundSolid technical background with an ability to give instructions to both a technical and non-technical audienceWork Schedule/Travel - Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00. Travel may include up to 25% to the various Meriplex locations across the U.S but is not expected to be a regular occurrence.We value both education and experience equallyWhile your formal degree, and certifications, would contribute to your success in this role, we also find tremendous value in skills and knowledge gained through in depth, real-world experience in a related field.
