The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability. This role requires a blend of operational, analytical, and strategic skills to manage pricing in SAP ECC, conduct competitive analysis, and support various teams with pricing insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a background in finance, economics or a related field.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain pricing structures in SAP ECC, including implementing MSRP and managing discounts during promotional periods.
- Handle ad-hoc pricing requests and act as a resource for the customer service team regarding sales and discount timelines.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with market conditions and business objectives.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to benchmark our pricing against competitors and suggest adjustments.
- Manage the pricing portfolio, ensuring accurate pricing across product families and addressing intra-platform concerns.
- Monitor and analyze margin impacts, ensuring prices reflect cost inputs and maintain desired profit margins.
- Perform pricing elasticity analysis to predict the impact of price changes on demand.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to recommend appropriate discounts and pricing strategies.
- Utilize statistical modeling tools such as R or Python for data analysis and trend forecasting.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams in the US and Germany to align pricing strategies.
Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, finance and/or 1-3 years of relevant job experience working in an analytical capacity.
- A demonstrable working knowledge of Excel formulas (intermediate level).

Recommended Experience:
- Experience in e-commerce or consumer goods, with an understanding of online pricing dynamics.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS as well as SAP ECC, Microsoft Excel, R, or Python.
- Strong research skills and the ability to conduct competitive analysis.
- Experience creating and maintaining economic models and conducting trend analysis.
- Familiarity with the cycling industry or related products is a plus.
