This is a hybrid position 1-2 days a week onsite. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

10% to 20% travel is required.

The Senior Designer - UX will help lead the design and definition as a key contributor to Client's Core UX team, Travel MBT, responsible for integrating human-centered practices in unpacking and improving the digital customer experience across all stages of the travel journey. The Core UX team supports defining Client's digital product strategy and providing the leadership to execute on that strategy with the help of a cross-functional mission-based teams. Responsibilities

PLAN & CONCEPTVisualize ideas using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work through ideation and move to the next stageInitiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on research, analysis, and competitive reviewsIdentify user needs and business requirementsSubstantiate design approach with analysis & projections for improvementsDESIGN & REFINE

Ensure digital customer touch points become and remain consistent with Client's user experience and brand standardsDevelop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactionsDrive the design of next generation, navigation schemes, patterns, components and templates across the company's products, insuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic customer experience.Create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes adhering to a rapid, iterative and collaborative processWork with usability researchers to design test plans and iterate designs throughout user testing. Translate usability research findings into design improvements.DEFINE & COMMUNICATE

Create final design deliverables through appropriately detailed design specifications including: process flows, wireframes, storyboards, high and low fidelity mockups, red-lines and prototypesPresent design work to the user experience team, product team, and executives for review and feedbackCollaborate with cross-functional teams as well as the larger UX team and business partners throughout the design processCommunicate harmoniously with multiple stakeholders to synthesize, review design project progress, and incorporate feedback appropriately with a user-centered focusDuring implementation phase respond to day-to-day questions from developers, product managers & project managersWork with QA to identify, document, and verify bug fixesProvide guidance and mentor junior designersEducation/Certification

BA/BS or equivalent work experience requiredKnowledge/Skills

Solid grasp of web design principles and a good understanding of front-end web technologies requiredExcellent understanding of user experience design for the Web, mobile, and touch devices requiredbility to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision requiredExperience in writing detailed design specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, etc.), which technology developers use to build the product requiredMust be a self-starter that can create schedules and define scope of work even when there are no clear requirements and direction requiredStrong ability to communicate your design, defend your design decisions, and respond quickly to business needs requiredProven ability to set the design direction for your projects and to collaborate with other designers working in the space requiredteam player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment requiredExperience
