Our client is a privately held, industry leader in the design, marketing, sourcing and distribution of 20+ brands, in over 20K stores in 6 countries.
In business 43 Years they are focused on fashion product variety, brands, licensing, and private labels.
In this role you'll work with the Design Team on a new license "RE-launch" for a well-known Contemporary RTW brand. For this position we are looking for a self-starter and capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail deadlines and benchmarks.
We are currently looking for someone with the following qualifications:
One year experience in Men's or Women's woven's or related categoriesIdeal candidate should have knowledge of current trending Brands and emerging trends in fabric, style and colorAssist in the development of seasonal development as well as the ability to work with buyers on specific projectsApprove lab dips, strike offs and the potential to have ownership of your own product categories depending on experienceCreate and provide details for tech packsMust have excellent sketching ability in IllustratorKnowledge of fabric/yarn/trimExcellent communication skills and ability to work well with others and cross-function with teamsPositive attitude, willingness to learn and understand the business, open to feedback and growthRequirements:
Experience in designer & contemporary apparel preferredA bachelor's or associate degree in fashion designProficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and ExcelAdaptable to a fast-paced working environment and flexible to pivot based on business objectivesAptitude for designing and sketching. Ability to communicate designs clearlyKnowledge of garment construction and experience fitting woven'sStrong independent researching skillsCompensation/Benefits:
Annual Salary $55,000 to $60,000 depending on experienceFull BenefitsIn office 4-days - NYC Midtown
