A law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking an E-Discovery Attorney to support its growing litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in e-discovery, including leading document reviews and managing complex discovery processes. The position requires in-depth knowledge of civil litigation procedures, advanced e-discovery technology, and experience using platforms like Relativity. The attorney will be responsible for overseeing document review processes, drafting privilege logs, and ensuring accurate reporting of review metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage e-discovery processes for complex civil litigation and investigations.

Conduct quality control (QC) review of document productions and ensure accuracy.

Draft and review privilege logs to identify protected documents.

Collaborate with legal teams to define e-discovery strategies and workflows.

Supervise and lead document review teams, ensuring efficient and accurate review processes.

Report document review metrics to case teams and clients, providing regular updates.

Utilize e-discovery software platforms like Relativity to manage large-scale document reviews.

Assist with the identification and collection of electronically stored information (ESI).

Stay current with developments in e-discovery technology, laws, and best practices.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience working on document reviews in a leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of civil litigation procedures and e-discovery processes.

Strong familiarity with e-discovery technology, particularly Relativity.

Substantial experience performing QC reviews, drafting privilege logs, and reporting review metrics.

Ability to manage and lead document review teams effectively.

Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.

Expertise in e-discovery technology, including Relativity.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage large-scale document review projects.
