SUMMARYThe selected Learning Facilitator will be responsible for the instruction of courses in one or more disciplines depending upon their academic qualifications: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, or Contemporary Sciences Meteorology, or Physics or closely related field. The Learning Facilitator is responsible for teaching courses in the Natural Sciences at any of the College's locations, including the Corrections Education Program, and/or in an online format. This Learning Facilitator position will teach a minimum of 38 contact hours annually. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are a must. Ability to secure and maintain a Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) clearance to enter correctional facilities to teach.
Primary responsibilities include assisting in course coordination, and evaluation of course assessment data and participate in all Faculty Learning Days. Work effectively with other faculty and staff in a rapidly changing team environment. A commitment to professional development and learning is expected This individual requires a passion, demonstrated through experience, for effective teaching and of diverse student populations plus excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college mission.
