Overview

LMI is seemking a

DoD Logistician/Logistics Engineer

to provide supply and demand optimization to support weapon system sustainment, including physical and logical inventory and warehouse operations; to include inventory control and counting operations. (Expected work location: Dayton, OH or Alexandria, VA with remote work authorized).

Responsibilities

Lead projects analyzing logistics planning, resource planning, materiel management, supply chain sustainment, and resource processes including procurement, inventory management, maintenance, and distribution in federal government organizationsLead a small team in providing data queries and collection, analysis, studies, reports, and other technical supportConduct research on current and emerging logistics and supply chain trends to support capabilities developmentAnalyze an array of customer data, and develop strategies to improve materiel and equipment readinessPerform logistics data analysis using government and company-developed databases, modeling, simulation, and other analytical toolsAnalyze and assess effectiveness of customer logistics and supply chain policies, procedures, and performance metrics in meeting organizational goals and recommend improvementsPerforms various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems.Works on logistics and maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; life cycle cost analysis and control; weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility.Working knowledge of GFP Module processing and requirements.Provide administrative and technical writing supportBrief senior leaders on courses of action to improve AF operational readinessCommunicate and provide program management support through written reports, briefings, and oral presentations for all levels of government agency leadershipResearch subject matter and prepare charts, point papers, speeches, remarks, and other presentation materials for use by senior government officialsPrepare and finalize correspondence including letters, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, meeting minutes, and reportsQualifications

Required:

Bachelors degree in logistics management, supply chain, aviation maintenance or sustainment, or related discipline, or 10 years of demonstrated experience in leading logistics and sustainment planningExperience in acquisition and procurement disciplinesExperience in quantitative and qualitative analysisSharepoint and MS Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skillsSuperior communication skills, both oral and writtenHigh-energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, tact, and ability to effectively interact with clients at all levels in Government and industryAbility to create and foster a cooperative, respectful work environmentSelf-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to manage stress, adapt to fast-paced work efforts and shifting prioritiesMust be able to work remotely and be available for occasional travelApplicants must hold a current U.S. Government SECRET clearance or be eligible for a security clearanceDesired:

Masters degree in logistics management, supply chain, or disciplines related to sustainment and logistics or 15 years of demonstrated experience in leading logistics and sustainment planningFamiliarity with Federal Government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processFamiliarity with F-35 Joint Strike Fighter sustainmentFamiliarity with Supply Chain Risk ManagementApplicants currently holding or eligible for Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
