Location: Wilmington, DE

Mercury® Financials' Wilmington, Delaware office is located near the Riverfront. Wilmington is Delaware's largest city and is the economic engine of the state. The Riverfront combines its rich history with a host of attractions that bring great food, entertainment, and shopping to our city. Role:

The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will support the Head of Strategic Initiatives in driving our financial strategy and corporate development initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in a critical function for the business and will have access to the senior leaders of the company with visibility of the company's span of business activities.

What a day is like:• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, including company/portfolio valuation and pro forma analysis• Corporate Finance: Assist in the execution of corporate finance activities such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and financial planning• Strategic Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and internal performance to inform strategic decisions• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, operations, and credit, to ensure alignment with financial objectives• External Stakeholders: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investment banks, brokers, industry partners and potential target company leadership• Ownership & Flexibility: Take ownership of projects and tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities and emerging challenges

You're perfect for this role if you:• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus• 2+ years of experience in financial modeling, corporate finance, or related fields. Experience in consumer finance is advantageous but not mandatory• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills• Solid understanding of corporate finance principles• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint)• Excellent communication and presentation skills• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability• Ability to thrive in a startup-like culture with a willingness to wear multiple hats• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
