Our Digital and Claims Transformation team is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager

to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office with a hybrid work arrangement or remote work location.

This is a full time, exempt position.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our digital & claims team is focused on driving the transformation at The Hanover, across the Enterprise. We are looking for a proven technology delivery leader with a desire to help drive strategic business outcomes.

The position offers the opportunity to partner with business and technology leadership at The Hanover while leading cross-functional teams delivering on a multi-year roadmap. As a member of the team, you are expected to lead the execution and delivery of technology projects while collaborating with business partners to advance our digital strategy. You are methodical, have excellent communication and time management skills - and can utilize those skills effectively across various business units.

Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of technology projects of varying complexity.

With your solid blend of technical, and business skills, you will successfully partner with areas across the enterprise to lead delivery of projects in their area.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Lead complex projects and be accountable for the estimating, planning, scheduling, tracking, management of risk, budget, change management, problem resolution, reporting and communicatingManage interdependencies within projectsProvide transparency and reporting to overall governance and steering structureLead the interaction with business partners, project team members, other IT colleagues, and external vendors to ensure clarity of the business problem, outcome and scope and ensure issues and risks are understood and resolvedBe responsible for building team alignment, encouraging team effort and successes, embracing continuous performance improvement through coaching, modeling the way, and developing followership through your daily interactions with the teamManage vendor relationships and outcomes through active collaboration and feedback with Program Management and Vendor ManagementSolicit and apply standards and best practices as defined by the project management Center of Excellence (CoE) and the Project Management Office (PMO)WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

7+ Years of related experience with project & program delivery (waterfall, iterative, hybrid, agile)Bachelor's degree with a preference of technology/computer science field or equivalent work experienceMust be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.Strong Business Acumen - Knowledge of P&C products preferredStrong relationship management skills - Ability to effectively collaborate with business & IT partners and to foster strong relationships with them to aid successful project deliveryStrong ability to connect dots and build integrated plans that include business timelines for filings, intersecting IT project timelines and deliverables where dependencies exist, and outside project risks. Someone with an anticipatory mindset rather than a reactionary one.Strong communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skillsStrong leadership skills that deliver results and align with our CARE valuesFamiliarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, and/or Leankit (AgilePlace).CAREER DEVELOPMENT:
