Position Overview

The Guidehouse Energy, Sustainability, & Infrastructure segment is a go-to partner for leaders creating sustainable, resilient communities and infrastructure, serving as trusted advisors to utilities and energy companies, large corporations, investors, NGOs, and the public sector. The North Market Team within the Commercial Energy practices works with utility clients across the energy value chain to guide them through the energy transition. We assist our clients to:Develop and implement their decarbonization and resiliency plans.Support the strategy, design, and evaluation of customer-focused programs - energy efficiency, heat electrification, demand response, energy storage, electric transportation, distributed solar, among others.Support the development and implementation of distribution and transmission investments to modernize energy networks.As a Senior Consultant on the North Market Team, you will play a key role in the decarbonization of energy provider clients. In your project teams, you will collaborate with our team of energy experts to support critical and complex energy transition projects. You will be responsible for completing analyses and preparing and communicating well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients. You will lead, coach, and mentor others on the team to ensure quality analysis and deliverables.

We are looking for someone with passion who is interested in developing their expertise and industry relationships. They will have a passion for creative problem-solving, client service, and project management. Key responsibilities for this position include:

Contributing to creative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients

Providing detailed fact findings, research, and analysis on energy-related activities (particularly energy efficiency, grid modernization, renewable energy, customer programs, new business models, and sustainability)

Performing statistical and economic analyses in Excel and/or RPreparing workshop and meeting materials, attending sessions, and summarizing outcomesPreparing reports, presentations, and other documents for client deliverablesInterviewing business managers, technology experts, and public policy officialsPresenting results of assigned tasks and analyses that resonate with clientsWorking effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team; work independently as neededWhat You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree and three to five (3-5) years of relevant industry or consulting experience excluding internships/co-ops /fellowships; OR Advanced (Master's/MBA/PhD) degree and one to three (1-3) years of relevant industry or consulting experience excluding internships/co-opsDemonstrated team player with ability to leadClient service orientationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience developing and delivering presentations in PowerPointOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with data analyticsStrong interest in business strategy, energy efficiency, and sustainabilityAn inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvementTireless attention to detail in all prior experience (academic and professional)Superior interpersonal skillsAbility to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines.Highly developed organizational and management skillsAbility to travel as neededNo sponsorship is available for this position; Due to the nature of our client, US citizenship requirements may applyThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as describedThis role is a Hybrid role which will require you to go into the closest GH Office (Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; New York, NY; Detroit, MI; Arlington, VA; Chicago, IL) as needed or on occasionWhat Would Be Nice To Have:

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
