We are looking for a Senior UI Artist to join our Fortnite Battle Royale Quest team. In this job, you will bring ideas to life by creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes. You will be responsible for implementation within the Unreal Editor using UMG, animations, material effects, etc. You will then work with game designers, product managers, UX designers, tech UI designers, and engineers to ship these features to millions of users.In this role, you willWork collaboratively with UX Design, Tech UI Design, and Engineering to create AAA-quality UI experiencesActively participate in the creation and implementation of design systems, game menus, HUD elements, Iconography, UI materials and shaders, UI animation, and motion designContribute to shipping features on time and at high quality and collaborate with the greater UXUI Department to ensure consistency and quality is maintained across Fortnite as a productExecute at a high-quality bar, work autonomously, and tackle complex features and systemsWork in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Figma to create concept UI artBring art to life while improving the UX with visualsCreate new material effects, implement basic logic in blueprints, and/or create 2D effectsWhat we're looking forYou have 7+ years of experience working collaboratively to see complex UI features through to completion across multiple platforms (mobile, pc, consoles)You have 7+ years of experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teamsExcellent visual design skillsYou are skilled with Figma, Adobe Suite, or other comparable softwareA strong portfolio of work showcasing your skills and your processExperience with UI Art implementation, in Unreal Engine (UMG) or equivalent game engineExperience with building UI materials & shaders for game engines, or equivalent 3d packages and FX tools; motion design & UI animation, preferably for games or interaction designYou have the ability to see features through to completion and rapidly modify work as information changesYou have a passion for making and playing games and have a strong sense of player empathyYou are a proactive individual who naturally leans into owning outcomes and are able to deal with ambiguity well and adapt to changes of plan quicklyBonus Points:
You have worked on or shipped 2+ AAA game titles
