This is a contracted support position that will be paid $16.86 per hour for 35 hours per week on an instructional year calendar.

Building Principal

Job Goal:

The Building Level Health Liaison will work under the direction of the building principal in collaboration with the district Medical Team to provide support, planning, and documentation in addressing the health needs of students; assisting in implementing the school health program; maintaining medical/dietary records and providing appropriate care and/or referral for medically and/or dietary fragile students.

Qualifications:

Must possess a high school diploma; college degree preferred.Must possess a current Medical Assistant Certification or be a Certified Nurse Assistant.Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing desired.Must be certified in CPR and basic First Aid.Requires strong analytical and computer skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, strong communications skills.Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to public health.Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.General knowledge of public health management information systems and how to use them to support the school environment.Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel including MOS Certification as determined by Administration. A willingness to learn and become proficient with all other current district standard software.Demonstrates interest and participation in a wide range of professional growth opportunities through such activities as advanced coursework, in-service programs, conference attendance and/or other related activities.Demonstrates and verifiable record of excellent, positive, and productive relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds and a commitment to equal opportunity for all.Such other qualifications as the Board of Education deem acceptable.APPLICATION PROCEDURE
