Assistant Vice President - Real Assets Fund Accounting

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily journal entries based on all cash, investment, and investor activity in real estate private equity funds. Review journal entries for accruals.
  • Track capi t al calls and dist r ibutio n s to in v e st o rs
  • Prep a re / Review monthly and q u arterly trial balance w o rkpaper packages to support fu n d acti v i t y
  • Prepare / Review fi n ancial s t a t ements a nd part n er ca p ital statement s
  • Assist i n ad - hoc reporting and investor requests
  • Assist with onboarding of new entities, investments, and investors in accounting system
  • Assist with c oordinat ion between client, auditors, and tax providers to close out all year-end requirements
  • Work with clients on ad-hoc consulting projects, as needed. These projects can be related to assistance with historical data conversions, journal entry bookings, investor requests, etc.
  • Complete special projects, as n eede d


Skills Required :
  • Professional Degree in Accounting (CPA a plus)
  • 5+ years of relevant Private Equity experience at either a fund administrator, fund, or auditor
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to w ork in d e pende n tly an d in a t eam envir o nmen t
  • Detail orie n ted a nd or g ani z e d
  • Flexible in adjusting t o changing p rioritie s
  • Experience supervising junior staff
  • Experience with closed - ended r eal est a te priv a te equity fund accounting preferred but not required
  • Investran experience a plus
