You will assist our multi-disciplined project team(s) with assigned tasks and will have many opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally, throughout the Summer. You will participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies & procedures, during the assignment. Additionally, there are fantastic opportunities to network with other interns across the enterprise during scheduled workshops, events and group projects focused on our culture and values.In this internship, you will perform basic design and production of construction document duties assigned by a Licensed Professional.Job Responsibilites:Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity, and correctness from layouts, sketches, or written instructions. Applies discipline design and detailing fundamentals in developing designs and specifications under the supervision of and subject to final approval by the Licensed Professional

Performs analysis or calculations as assignedCreates work plan for assigned tasks. Monitors and projects personal workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedulesCoordinates and checks work carefully to minimize all deficiencies, errors, and omissionsPerforms dimensional, interference, and basic design checks on the layouts and sketches of Licensed Professionals and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing setsAssists Licensed Professionals with plotting/production/assembly of drawing packages and writing specificationsMaintains orderly work files and prepares clear well-written memos/ correspondence. When assigned, prepares presentation materialsSubject to final approval of Licensed Professional, checks shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documentsAssists Licensed professionals in field inspections, development of solutions to field problems, preparation of field orders, addenda, and record drawingsWorks toward accomplishing and documenting requirements to attain eligibility to take a professional licensing examParticipates in professional community organizations and trade organizations within disciplineEducation/Experience:Pursuing a professional degree in Interior Design or related discipline from an accredited college or universitySpecific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:Must have good personal habitsWork well with othersBe able to stay on task and complete work on scheduleBe able to work independently as well as on a teamEnvironmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
