Our company is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the construction industry, who have a knack for establishing and nurturing business relationships, and who thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment. This role requires a unique blend of talents and skills, including extensive knowledge of the construction industry, general contracting, networking, cold calling, meetings, prospecting, outside sales, and a hunter mentality. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

Attend industry events (ABC, AGC. Contractors and closers etc) and conferences to network, promote the company, and stay updated on industry developments.Develop new business opportunities within the construction industry through active prospecting and networking.Utilize a hunter mentality to identify and pursue potential clients, making cold calls and setting up meetings to present our company's services.Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor offerings, using this information to inform business development strategies.Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into clients, meeting and exceeding sales targets.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.Work collaboratively with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, regularly reporting on progress to senior management.Qualifications:

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the construction industry.Demonstrable experience in general contracting, networking, cold calling, meetings, prospecting, and outside sales.Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Strong understanding of the construction industry, including key players, market trends, and industry standards.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.Self-motivated and driven, with a hunter mentality and a passion for closing deals.Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.Proficient in the use of CRM software and other sales tools.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
