Lead Project Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Project Manager to work on the Commercial Banking Business Enablement team. This team works to drive greater alignment, effectiveness, and measurement of CB's business priorities to deliver sustainable client and business outcomes.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives managing all activities in a product/program/project life-cycle. These initiatives are long-term, line of business wide, medium to high risk and include scope with broad impact.
  • Partner with Product Manager/Program Sponsor to make decisions in end to end product/program/project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end while developing and implementing product/program and project level routines and performance metrics
  • Engage with key stakeholders, executive leadership, project leads, project team, portfolio sponsors and portfolio leaders to promote success of programs and project performance or prioritization
  • Act as key participant in product roadmaps and develop project plans and budgets for change management
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders, product managers, product owners, program/project leads, executive leadership, sponsors and business partners to clarify and define product/program/project requirements
  • Gain full understanding of product/program/project impacts that will either be solved by the initiative or tracked as a dependency.
  • Lead the resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring full understanding of project impacts and comprehensive engagement across multiple stakeholders
  • Deliver strategic solutions that are large scale and require planning and progression, financial management, status reporting, effective communication and ongoing risk assessment
  • Demonstrate understanding of policy, methodology and artifact creation that influence and lead change management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Create and maintain project documentation on a timely basis and as dictated by the policy, line of business procedures, or sponsor (e.g., status reports, project plans, risks, issues, etc.)
  • Schedule, plan, facilitate and coordinate meetings as required


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
  • Exceptional consulting skills
  • Financial Services and/or Commercial Banking industry experience
  • Ability to manage large, complex, projects that impact multiple businesses, technology and risk disciplines
  • Ability to negotiate, communicate, collaborate and influence to build successful relationships with all levels of leadership
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to articulate a complex problem, initiate action, make difficult decisions and generate creative solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and experience with Agile practices
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expertise work with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Project, Jira/Jira Align and Confluence
