POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for managing the solar financing group's financial modeling processes including building, maintaining, and presenting financial models (including both debt and tax equity) required to support the Bank's prospective solar energy projects, managing the group's finance function including internal income statement and balance sheet tracking, invoice tracking, and budget planning, and contributing significantly and working closely with the Solar Division Head in the sales function including initial diligence, project analysis, client interaction, negotiation, term sheet preparation, and credit approval process.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSServes as the trusted finance team member and plays a major role in the overall business decision process in the sales, finance, and operations functions.

Sales / Finance:Collaborates with the Solar team on all structural and technical aspects of solar projects and is a key contributor to the sales process, including developing leads, initial project due diligence, client discussions, term sheet preparation, negotiation, and credit approval preparation and presentation.Collaborates with clients to drive the financial modeling process, incorporating detailed questions/answers to cover the financial impacts of each solar project.Proactively coordinates directly with clients and outside consultants to obtain and verify modeling inputs, assumptions, and rationale.Develops, builds, maintains, and presents financial models for internal analysis, loan approval and client presentations. Maintains required knowledge of tax and accounting legislation and impacts to project structuring.Collaborates directly with internal teams for project approval and completion including credit approval, equity approval, accounting, and tax.Responsible for the forecasting, budgeting, tracking, and presenting of the solar business' financials, including reoccurring loan forecasting, monthly performance reporting, annual planning process, reforecast process, and long-range planning.

Operations:Contributes significantly as a part of finance closing process including client-facing closing checklist calls, creating and updating transaction documentation for funding, updating financial models, resolving issues, and tracking milestones.Prepares or assists the Solar Team Leader in the preparation of internal and external presentation materials and presents to stakeholders such as Board members, executive leadership, internal teams, etc.Serves as liaison to internal stakeholders, such as accounting and loan operations teams, to communicate finance-related actions.Performs additional responsibilities as requested, including special nonrecurring projects for management.Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to this position as well as other recommended banking-related education opportunities.Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSPerforms all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Five or more years of related experience preferred.Three (3) or more years of financial analysis and modeling experience required.Prior financial banking experience preferred.Understanding of energy project finance deal structures and terminology required.Understanding of federal tax and accounting legislation for energy project finance deals preferred.Understanding of corporate finance, valuation and financial accounting preferred.Curiosity and desire to learn about renewable energy financing.Excellent PC skills--proficiency in Word and Excel essential, understanding of PowerPoint and database software preferred.Excellent math and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and drive completion of projects to meet deadlines.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to drive multiple tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree required, Business or Finance major preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
