With the April 2024 U.S. approval of our first drug XOLREMDI (mavorixafor), we have made great progress in advancing our patient-centric mission and in evolving the company into a fully integrated pharmaceutical company. But there is so much left to do! We are continuing to explore global opportunities for mavorixafor in its first indication, while also advancing mavorixafor for people with chronic neutropenia through an ongoing pivotal, global Phase 3 clinical trial.

Your Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director, Strategic Accounts and Access is a key member of the Value and Access team and has the mandate to ensure that our products are accessible to the rare disease communities who need them.

This position is accountable for collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners to lead, develop and execute payer, patient services and channel strategies and tactics that ensures optimal access, coverage, fulfillment, and distribution of X4’s products with an initial focus on Xolremdi in WHIM syndrome.

This individual is expected to develop strong internal relationships within X4 as well as externally with private and public payers, patient service and distribution partners, and other key stakeholders.

Develop and execute effective US payer engagement plans and market access initiatives aiming to secure broad and timely access and coverage of Xolremdi in WHIM syndrome.

Drive cross-functional efforts with Medical Affairs, X4connect, marketing and sales to remove access and coverage barriers and support the adoption of Xolremdi in WHIM syndrome.

Lead and work collaboratively with Medical Affairs to ensure value proposition and HEOR data is appropriately communicated to target audiences.

Lead X4connect (patient services) to ensure optimal prescription fulfillment, time to fill and patient experience.

Identify and address training, performance, and competency needs of channel partners to ensure achievement of business objectives. Continuously assess performance and inventory control.

Develop commercial training initiatives specific to Market Access education to ensure a high level of cross functional business knowledge throughout the organization.

Collaborate with operations to ensure we have a complete database of tracking account level coverage and PA requirements for our product.

Lead and demonstrate the ability to expand or build long-term executive level account relationships with targeted payers.

Work collaboratively with Patient Services and Sales to ensure access confidence and unimpeded access to X4 portfolio to FDA label.

Attend key trade meetings (ex. AMCP, Asembia), POA’s and sales meetings.

Develop internal triage process in collaboration with field leadership around coverage concerns including denials or appeals and a plan to remediate.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to corporate policies in market access activities and communications.

Evaluate threats and opportunities in key markets rising out of legislation and regulation from government and/or private payers that can impact access of X4’s products and pipeline and proactively develop strategies and plans to address the evolving reimbursement environment.

What You Will Bring:

Minimum 15 years Market Access, Account Management, Patient Services and Channel/Distribution.

Minimum 7 years in Market Access leadership.

Bachelor’s Degree required/MBA preferred.

Rare, orphan, specialty oral therapy launch experience.

Extensive understanding of commercial and Part D managed care organizations and processes.

Broad experience with Patient Services operations and execution.

Experience managing channel/distribution partners and performance.

Strong analytical skills with proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategy.

People and organizational skills to lead, build and develop a team; track record of successfully developing top talent.

Exceptional team-oriented leader with excellent communication and influencing skills and a collaborative work style.

Entrepreneurial mindset, motivated by start-up environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity.

Ability to travel up to 50% of time (when appropriate).

This position is based in Boston, MA, and offers a flexible hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days/week in the office.
