Product Line Manager, Consultant

Your RoleThe New Product Development team is responsible for developing and implementing innovative product concepts across multiple lines of business. As drivers of Blue Shield's Virtual Care program, product managers focus on measuring the effectiveness of existing programs while introducing program enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and clinical outcomes. The Product Manager Principal will report to the Senior Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting program metrics to senior leaders, ensuring third-party vendors are meeting service level agreements, and developing strategies to grow and retain membership.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Support line of business strategies to grow and retain membership in the Virtual Care program including financial analysis and membership projectionsLead cross-functional workgroups as needed for product implementationsConduct secondary market research and apply it to product strategy as neededAnalyze data and make recommendations for product improvementsTrack, organize, and monitor monthly third-party vendor reporting; Analyze data for trends and opportunitiesSupport the agile leadership team by writing user stories and acceptance criteria covering multiple user types that support product outcomesYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Public Health, Information Technology, or similar fields or equivalent experienceRequires at least 7 years of prior relevant experienceRequires expert knowledge of product management and strategic planning principlesStrong quantitative and analytical skills that help drive data-driven decisions strongly preferredAbility to build effective relationships across the organization in a matrixed environment and externally, with vendors and business partnersDemonstrated experience of successfully developing and launching healthcare products or services strongly preferredPay Range:The pay range for this role is: $118800.00 to $178200.00 for California.Note:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
