TS/SCIJob Description:Seeking a highly skilled Tier 2 SOC Analyst to join our team, supporting a very mission-focused customer within the Department of Defense (DoD). This is a technical role that requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and hands-on experience with various security tools and platforms.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using Cisco IPS, Palo Alto firewalls, and Splunk.Conduct searches, queries, and create dashboards in Splunk to manage and respond to security incidents.Understand and analyze the TCP handshake and computer communication protocols.Handle regular incident response activities and provide technical support for security operations.Work with Linux and Windows operating systems to ensure the security and integrity of the network.Qualifications:Active TS/SCI Clearance.Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Security+ CE certifications.Proficiency in using Splunk for security monitoring and incident response.Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network communication.Experience with Cisco IPS and Palo Alto firewalls.Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, normal working hours.Team Structure:1-2 step team.If interested, please apply here or send resume to kwillet@apexsystems.com
