Req #858The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.Duties/Responsibilities:Invoice entry with some GL coding.Respond to comments and or requests in P2P system.Perform voids and reissues on checks.Process payments both electronically through Paymode-X and in-house checks printing and mailing.Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and invoices.Assist with internal and external audits and auditors. Provide reports and documentation for selected samples.New vendor set-up. Ensure compliance with Presidential Executive Order 13224, COI requirements and W9.Assist with 1099 processing.Assist with month end close and year end close for both cash & accrual basis accounting.Assist VP of Accounting and AP Supervisor with special projects, compiling reports and any other assistance needed.Assist CAM accounting, receivables, property management, operations, office management and ownership regarding invoices, payments, income, inquiries and any other additional assistance as needed.Required Skills/Abilities:Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.Must have excellent data entry accuracy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education and Experience:High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
