Our client is actively seeking a talented Project Engineer (Polymers) located in Houston, TX. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility to extend.This position is an onsite opportunity with a 9/80 schedule.Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer in Petrochemicals projects to join our Project Management team (PMT). The primary role is to execute & manage capital projects, ensuring that engineering design, procurement, construction & project completion is done in compliance with the project objectives & contractual requirements, including project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards & procedures.Job Responsibilities

Execute capital projects according to scope, schedule & budget.Develop & present reports on project KPIs, parameters, & ad hoc assignments.Provide technical & project management oversight to design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup of facilities, & close out of projects.Ensure timely resolution of project issues arising in all phases of project development.Ensure safety measures are implemented in project execution.Implement company initiatives & business processes in projects.Prepare/Review monthly project performance reports and present them to management.Anticipate & plan for changes in project scope, schedule or costs.Manage material procurement for projects.Negotiate agreements & change orders with design & execution contractors.Prepare weekly & monthly reports on the status & progress of contracts.Propose & capture optimization opportunities.Uphold engineering ethics & maintain high standards of professional behavior & conduct.Requirements

Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in project management related to petrochemical industries with a specialty in Polymers and/or Aromatics extraction.Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).Experience in Engineering Design, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, & Startup phases.Mastery understanding of project execution phases, bidding procedures, procurement processes, and best practices.Mastery understanding of scheduling principles & recovery methods.Dynamic attitude towards project improvements & savings.Flexible to work in multinational teams & mobilize to different locations as needed.Preferred Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering & a higher degree.Job Requisition #38450

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $80.00 - $120 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location.Company Overview
