We support Government and prime system integrators with engineering and management expertise. Allegient Defense helps clients with challenging Science & Technology, Engineering Acquisition, and Program Management Mission requirements.Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are looking to hire a Technical Program Management Subject Matter Expert for one of our DoD clients.The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide part-time support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR), leveraging their expertise to contribute to the advancement of research initiatives. This role involves reviewing technical documents, offering expert opinions, and participating in meetings to guide ONR’s research direction.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth reviews of white papers, proposals, and technical documents to assess their alignment with ONR’s strategic objectives.Provide critical feedback and recommendations for improving the technical content and feasibility of proposed projects.Attend and actively participate in meetings, briefings, and discussions with ONR staff, researchers, and stakeholders.Offer expert insights and technical guidance to inform decision-making and contribute to program development.Provide expert opinions on a wide range of topics relevant to ONR’s mission, including emerging technologies, research methodologies, and strategic priorities.Advise ONR leadership and program officers on current trends and potential research opportunities within the expert’s field.Prepare concise summaries, reports, and presentations outlining key findings, assessments, and recommendations.Document meeting outcomes and action items to ensure alignment with ONR’s objectives.Collaborate with ONR staff, other SMEs, and external partners to foster a multidisciplinary approach to research challenges.Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to a diverse audience.Job Requirements
Current SECRET Clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance prior to award.A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and twenty-five (25) years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics.OR a master’s degree from an accredited college or university and twenty (20) years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics.OR a doctorate degree from an accredited college or university and fifteen (15) years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physics.Recent experience with DoD S&T efforts.Professional certification or peer recognition in platform technologies, electric propulsion, integrated structural systems, materials, manufacturing, sustainment, control technologies, naval architecture, hull and propulsion hydromechanics, acoustic and non-acoustic signature, structural systems, maneuvering and control, control systems, sea keeping, propulsion and power systems, or automation.Diversity and Inclusion
