OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director of Raw Materials Sourcing is responsible for building and executing Alo’s short and long term global Raw Materials sourcing strategy – delivering value while balancing agility, efficiency, quality, sustainability, innovation, and cost. You will be able to operate in a highly innovative and collaborative organization, being part of the Supply Chain leadership team. You will be able to strategize as well as execute, with strong attention to detail and business acumen, ensuring product flows through the pipeline and meets key milestones to meet product to market (P2M) demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sourcing Strategy

Rationalize the global raw material and trims source base and find improvement opportunities with a focus on strategic partnerships, risk mitigation and business continuity.

Maintain an understanding of Alo’s brand aesthetic and collaborate with Design and Product Development to support the development of the product line for both seasonal and core.

Regularly influence leadership team decisions and initiatives.

Costing Excellence

Drive a transparent, standards driven, knowledge based costing process.

Lead the cross functional cost engineering/optimization process – inclusive of pre-costing methodologies.

Production and Capacity Planning

Lead the strategic execution of short, medium and long term capacity planning in partnership with the Sourcing/Production team.

Optimize responsive capabilities inclusive of raw material staging and replenishment models.

Partner with upstream inventory management, merchandising and production teams to align demand and supply planning needs and milestones.

Establish best practices

Contribute to best in class, KPI driven vendor scorecards to inform source base allocation and strategies.

Continuously review and lead the team to identify process and system opportunities to increase speed to market, improve product execution, foster innovation and drive down costs.

Partner with production management teams on supplier agreements, new vendor approval process and production, quality and sustainability metrics.

Project Planning: Create complex project work plans that define the cross-functional activities and resources required to successfully complete the initiative.

Process Management: Can identify and articulate the processes and resources necessary to get things done efficiently and effectively.

Systems Acumen: Experienced in systems implementations, from initial requirements through end-user rollout.

Risk Management: Anticipate risks and identifies contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur.

Results Oriented: Is passionate about achieving and tracking bottom-line business results.

Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills.

10+ years of experience in Raw Material Sourcing or Global Supply Chain roles.

The base salary range for this position is $185,000 - $235,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
