Senior Manager, Finance - Development

This role is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and management for LCS Development. This role involves overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, contract margins, and analysis, as well as leading a team of finance professionals. This is inclusive of providing strategic insight to the LCSD executive team, management of client modeling/reporting, and supporting relationships with key partners.

The Sr. Manager, Finance will play a key role in driving financial performance and supporting LCS Development’s growth initiatives. They are key to supporting LCS Development’s relationships with clients and investment banks with regards to the financial structure, performance, and critical decisions. They must have the aptitude to create and develop relationships with external parties. Partnership with clients, investors, and investment banks will be critical to ensure each project achieves the highest level of success.

The Role:

Leveraging a strong background in development modeling and equity capital stacks, analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations for key internal stakeholders and clients.

Serving as a key member of the LCS Development project team, present to community Boards and other key external stakeholders to support Project Development Managers (PDMs) on key decisions.

Oversee internal financial leadership for LCS Development, including:

Preparation of financial management reporting, analysis, and comparisons.

Preparation of LCS Development budgets, projections and near-term forecasts.

LCSD Client Billings, Accounts Receivable management, and Development Agreement review.

In partnership with PDMs, develop capital cost budgets, pro forma financial statements, and relevant project schedules. Provide strategic analysis to PDMs to make decisions around the structure of projects and provide monthly client reporting of financial performance during the life of a project.

Serve as a key relationship manager for banks and investors. Partner with these groups to create financially successful projects for clients and LCS Development.

Responsible for the effective management and leadership of a team. This includes, but is not limited to: hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance, allocating compensation, effectively handling employee relations issues, managing terminations.

Perform other duties and essential functions as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years directly relevant experience.

Real Estate Development experience with specific modeling and equity capital stack background.

Prior team leadership.

Direct experience with Investment Banking relationships.

Familiarity with Senior Housing industry.

Knowledge and skills:

Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, complex financial modeling, and financial analysis/analytics.

Experience managing a team of finance professionals, with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Ability to confidently present complicated financial information in relevant terms to internal and external stakeholders, including executives.

In-depth understanding of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in financial software and systems, with strong Excel and financial modeling skills.

Estimated Salary Range:

$110,400 - $138,000.

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
